It is not surprising that predictive maintenance plans do not often contemplate documenting and systematizing visual inspections. Directly or indirectly, visual inspections are usually made but they are not reported or made under a routine inspection.
Visual inspection has been relegated as a secondary task in industrial companies. However, visual inspection is the first type of intervention that man carried out in any area of his life. And by being able to document its observations, it became a condition monitoring tool.
In this course we will study some principles of visual inspection, concepts and the use made of this technique in industrial assets, the knowledge that an inspector must have in order to carry out a visual inspection, and how to structure and execute visual inspections and reports.
