An industrial asset is equipment that can be classified according to the type of function it performs. In predictive maintenance an industrial asset is what an inspection report or condition monitoring analysis refers to. According to ISO 14224, the asset is level 6 of the taxonomy of the asset hierarchy

There are two options for creating an asset in Power-MI:

1) Accessing the "New asset" button found in the company profile, ASSETS tab, section "Manual creation of the asset hierarchy".

2) Accessing the menu at the bottom right from the plant, section or subsection level to which the asset belongs.

To register a new asset, it is necessary to assign the name, type, criticality, predictive technologies with which the asset is inspected and preferably add photos and any other additional information of the asset.
